Zach Dobson is a photographer located in Indiana. He specializes in commercial photojournalism, as he likes to tell the stories of the people of Indiana. Dobson says he focuses on people and telling their business. While he's photographed for larger corporations like Coca-Cola, and ZipCar, he also does shoots for Indiana University and some political campaigns. Dobson's focus with his photography has always been capturing people and their lives. He tells their story with detail in a simple image. Using Dobson as inspiration I completed my photojournalist project. Dobson did a series at the Indiana State fair, which inspired me to photograph life at the Wisconsin State Fair. This would allow me to capture my fellow Wisconsinites gathered, all telling their own stories through a photograph.
Gathering Images
I took pictures of people at the Wisconsin State Fair. With this, I learned a lot about how to discretely take pictures of people. There was several different angles which I had to approach people, usually as they were walking by. There was a harder nature surrounding taking pictures of adults versus children. Children seemed more naturally posed as adults were more distressed.
